About CarbonQuota
CarbonQuota was born from a relentless pursuit of precise carbon data
CarbonQuota’s Co-founders, Dominic Harris and Nathan Tiller, spent over six months trying, without success, to source a carbon calculator that was:
- not based on government published averages, spend or overseas data
- not calculated by the producer
- not tied to a trade body
- not curated by generalists
- not out of date
- not hiding the real emissions
- not built on false assumptions of real supply chain activity
- not prohibitively expensive
- not needing expensive on-site audits
- not layered with hidden consultancy costs
So, they took it upon themselves to build one…
CarbonQuota is the result of research into the most reliable and scientifically valid sources of carbon data available. We believe we have the world’s largest independent database of carbon emissions in the sector, and the most granular carbon calculation engine. We are proud to provide the most honest carbon footprints in the sector.
“We saw the struggle: brands wanted sustainability but print and packaging suppliers couldn’t keep up. We called it ‘The Great Sustainability Disconnect’ and set out to bridge that gap. Now, four years on, we provide trusted, data-driven impact insights to the world’s most sustainability-focused brands.
It has never been more crucial to track and calculate carbon data to analyse, reduce, and track carbon emissions. CarbonQuota integrations offers a unique opportunity for businesses – from SMEs to large enterprises – to easily calculate carbon emissions, empowering them to make data-driven sustainability decisions.”
Dominic Harris, Co-founder, CarbonQuota
“Several phases of my career were spent trying to reduce the environmental impact of what I was doing for a job, so it mattered that people making everyday decisions at work couldn’t easily judge their effect on the planet. After years of scrutiny and testing, CarbonQuota was born when we found a way to use our sector experience to provide quick and reliable carbon footprints to help the most people to make better decisions”.
Nathan Tiller, Co-founder, CarbonQuota
In today’s environmentally conscious market, businesses are under increasing pressure to measure, disclose, and reduce their carbon emissions. This pressure comes not only from regulatory bodies and stakeholders but also from consumers seeking out sustainable products and brands aligned with their values. To achieve the ambitious global goal of net zero by 2050, human-caused CO2 emissions must decrease by approximately 43% from 2019 levels by 2030.
The transition to decarbonising our economy is complex. To achieve real, systematic change, we need companies to adapt where the baseline is to measure, transparently report and implement carbon reduction plans to reduce their impact on the planet.
