Andrew Johnson
CarbonQuota is proud to introduce Andrew Johnson, our New Business Sales Specialist.
Bringing over three decades of sales expertise to his role, Andrew is instrumental in driving the company’s growth by prospecting via phone and email, arranging sales appointments, and cultivating and nurturing relationships with potential clients. Andrew’s passion for sales is unwavering even after 30 years in the field. He thrives on helping and meeting new people, creating long-term relationships, and continuously learning. The variety in his daily tasks keeps him motivated, as no two days are the same.
Prior to joining CarbonQuota, Andrew amassed extensive experience in business growth and sales elevation. Since 2011, he has been with a specialist business consultancy, developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies for clients aiming to grow or exit.
Andrew holds a BA (Hons) in Economics and three A Levels in Economics (A), Law (A), and Accounting (B). He is also certified through HubSpot’s Pipeline Generation Boot Camp. Outside of work, Andrew enjoys gym workouts, cinema, theatre, walking, reading, museums, the arts, American football, and music.

Alan Pilkington
With years of experience in the IT and print industries, Alan has been involved in the full lifecycle of technical product solutions – from gathering requirements to implementation and support. He is a certified Professional Scrum Master and Product Owner.
What drives Alan is the ability to create software that exceeds user needs while making a tangible impact on reducing environmental impact.
Outside of work, Alan enjoys watching motorsports and walks along the seafront with his family.
John Edmunds
CarbonQuota is thrilled to introduce its CEO, John Edmunds.
With over 20 years of executive leadership driving growth and innovation in the landscape of climate technology solutions, John brings tremendous experience that will be crucial in the next step of CarbonQuota’s journey.
Having recently served as Managing Director at Carbon Intelligence, John successfully built and led a high-performing team, delivering the development and launch of their carbon accounting platform and achieving rapid customer base growth, which ultimately resulted in the sale of Carbon Intelligence to Accenture in August 2022.
Prior to Carbon Intelligence, as CEO of Constructionline, a Supply-Chain Governance, Risk, and Compliance Management firm, he spearheaded the growth, carve-out, and sale from Capita to Warburg Pincus in 2018.
John’s appointment comes at a crucial juncture for CarbonQuota. His vision for the future, strong commitment to customer satisfaction, and dedication to fostering a culture of collaboration and inclusion align perfectly with the values that CarbonQuota holds dear.
Outside of work, you can usually find John skiing, snowboarding, paddleboarding, canoeing, cycling, or walking with his family.
Jack O’Farrell
CarbonQuota is proud to introduce its Client Manager, Jack O’Farrell.
Jack joined CarbonQuota in May of 2023 after previously working at BP within the strategy, transformation and sustainability team. Before that, Jack spent 5 years at the world-leading procurement consultancy, Proxima. Where he worked on everything from sourcing, category management, transformation and client management.
Jack is responsible for supporting our corporate clients, building relationships with our stakeholders and ensuring that our carbon science team has all of the necessary information to help tackle the client’s decarbonisation goals.
Jack holds a 1st Class Honours in Supply Chain & Logistics and is also MCIPS accredited.
In his spare time, Jack is like to keep fit by hitting the gym and playing sports, when home in Wales, he enjoys hiking the local mountains and taking his dog for long walks. Jack is also a fan of travelling, enjoying experiencing new cultures and foods.
Mark Weatherbed
CarbonQuota is proud to introduce its Packaging and Paper Advisor, Mark Weatherbed.
Mark joined CarbonQuota in May of 2023 after spending more than 40 years in the paper, packaging and publishing industries where he was involved in the processes of manufacturing, converting, innovating and developing material types for almost anything that print could be applied to. This enabled him to influence, support and develop sustainable supply chains across a large number of categories.
Mark’s previous experience includes multiple large global businesses as well as smaller ones across print, publishing, packaging and outsourcing, 25 years of which were on the global platform.
Mark holds a variety of certifications and qualifications, including being; a Chartered Member of the Institute of Procurement & Supply, a member of the Chartered Institute of Managers, an ex-PEFC Main Board Director of 7 years, an ex-member of the Forest Paper Trade Network (WWF).
In his spare time, Mark can often be found travelling with his family and is a member of the Bedford Rowing Club.
Yousuf Butt
CarbonQuota is proud to introduce its Technical Manager within Development, Yousuf Butt.
Yousuf joined CarbonQuota in April of 2023 and is responsible for supporting and maintaining our existing products and tools as well as developing new ones.
His interest in development stems from his passion for working through complicated problems and developing solutions to overcome them, a process that he finds rewarding. He is eager to apply this passion and his skills to help CarbonQuota achieve its mission of having a positive impact on the environment.
Yousuf previously worked as a Front/Backend Engineer for BT Security and holds a BSc in Computer Science from Queen Mary University.
Outside of CarbonQuota, Yousuf can be found playing various sports, usually football as well as being a fan of Formula One.
Phool Ashraf
CarbonQuota is proud to introduce its Financial Director, Phool Ashraf.
Phool joined CarbonQuota in October 2022 and is responsible for the financial planning and strategy for the business, including the implementation of financial management processes, reporting and ensuring our compliance.
Prior to joining CarbonQuota, Phool spent 13 years working as an accountant within a fast-growing SME, working with businesses specifically within the hospitality, technology, telecoms and retail sectors.
Phool holds a BSc. In Applied Accounting and is a Fellow Character Certified Accountant (FCCA)
Outside of work, Phool can often be found reading and enjoys traveling the world by trying as many different cuisines as possible and exploring first hand.
Steve Lawrence
CarbonQuota is proud to introduce its technical manager, Steve Lawrence.
Steve is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of CarbonQuota’s back-end technology stack as well as contributing to CarbonQuota’s technology strategy and roadmap.
Before joining CarbonQuota and following a decades-long career working in travel technology, Steve was a freelance consultant to the travel industry, helping clients design, develop, and implement large technology projects.
In his spare time, Steve enjoys spending time with his family in the New Forest, getting out on the water, weather permitting, and riding through the countryside on either a mountain bike or a motorbike.
Emma Jennings-Frisby
CarbonQuota is proud to introduce its project manager, Emma Jennings-Frisby.
Emma is responsible for the simplification of complex supply chains that enable CarbonQuota to accurately measure the carbon footprint of its clients.
Previous to CarbonQuota, Emma worked within print management, working across a number of sectors, including oil, financial, and telecommunications.
When not working, Emma spends time with her family, mostly on the water!
Dominic Harris
CarbonQuota is proud to introduce its co-founder and director, Dominic Harris.
Dominic launched CarbonQuota with Nathan Tiller in 2019 after a long and successful career within the packaging and printing industries.
Dominic is responsible for ensuring the growth of CarbonQuota and takes great pride in fostering relationships with its clients. resulting from his unwavering commitment to providing a superior customer experience while fully supporting their decarbonization journey
Dominic’s vast business knowledge spans across all sectors, from retail to consumer goods, and covers the domestic and global stage.
In his spare time, Dominic spends a great deal of time with his wife and daughters and can often be found hiking around the incredible countryside that the UK has to offer on weekends.

Guy Strafford
CarbonQuota is proud to introduce its director, Guy Strafford.
Guy is responsible for the strategy and direction of CarbonQuota as well as using his wide-reaching connections from his time operating Proxima to build working relationships with relevant businesses.
Guy’s interest in the environmental sector stems from his experience within the procurement industry, and he believes that CarbonQuota has a major role to play in helping businesses within the print and packaging industries solve the challenge of reading their CO2 emissions through scientific and systematic processes.
Guy is a trained accountant from KMPG who went on to assist with the building and subsequent sale of Proxima, the leading procurement consultancy, to the world’s leading strategic consultancy, Bain Consulting. Guy is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply.
In his spare time, Guy is passionate about 20th-century British art and has an extensive wine collection, though you may also encounter him on a daily run.

Nathan Tiller
CarbonQuota is proud to introduce its co-founder and director, Nathan Tiller.
Nathan is primarily concerned with the advancement and implementation of our technology, specifically how it can enable us to work on a greater number of carbon-reduction projects.Nathan is also responsible for ensuring that our data is as accurate and informative as possible, enabling us to gain more impactful insights at a faster pace.
Nathan’s previous experience as a buyer has enabled him to sit on every side of the negotiating table. Regardless of where he has been sitting, he has always been eager to answer any questions relating to sustainability and climate change, both from previous clients and personally. When unable to find the answers he was looking for around carbon footprints, he co-launched CarbonQuota with Dominic Harris.

Alastair McCann
CarbonQuota is proud to introduce its technical manager, Alastair McCann.
Alastair provides a link between our life cycle assessment scientists, client services, and software developers. Through his science and engineering background, he is responsible for ensuring that the complex mathematical calculations required for carbon footprinting are understood by all members of the team.
Before joining CarbonQuota, Alastair spent a number of years within the paper industry, print estimation, print production, print management, and consulting industries.
In his spare time, Alastair enjoys playing and watching cricket, as well as listening to music by Abba and ZZ Top. He is also an avid fan of film and TV.

Anthony Daly
CarbonQuota is proud to introduce its sales consultant, Anthony Daly.
Anthony is responsible for the development of CarbonQuota’s proposition in the environmental and sustainability sectors.
Anthony’s experience stems from his working within the home entertainment sector on a global basis, having worked with the likes of Sonopress, part of the Bertelsmann group, and across multiple supply chains, including manufacturing, distribution, print and packaging, and e-commerce. Anthony has recently worked with Pozzoli, a bespoke Italian printer in the luxury sector.
Freddie Ward
CarbonQuota is proud to introduce its technical manager, Frederick Ward.
Frederick is responsible for ensuring that all of the documents and carbon footprints are suitable for our clients, technically accurate, and follow the latest scientific methodology. Freddie is also responsible for expanding the depth of our carbon footprints to ensure we are the most precise and go into as much granular detail as possible.
Frederick’s interest in the environmental sector stems from his experience having previously operated a farm that focused on protecting the lives of rare pigs.
Frederick graduated from Queen Mary University of London with a bachelor’s degree in environmental science.
When he is not helping us research the carbon footprint of a project, he is usually found riding around the city on his bike.

Matt Fishwick
CarbonQuota is proud to introduce its associate carbon consultant, Matthew Fishwick.
Matt is responsible for ensuring that all data handled goes through a rigorous quality assurance checklist, provides training to both internal team members and clients, and develops robust operating procedures that allow CarbonQuota to provide the most accurate measurements and reduction plans possible.
Before joining the CarbonQuota team, Matt spent 15 years performing life cycle assessments in a wide variety of sectors, including chemicals, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, construction, and food. Matt’s past clients include: 3M, Honeywell, Lonza, BP, The American Petroleum Institute, Lundin Energy, E.ON, GSK, Johnson & Johnson, GLP, and PepsiCo.
Matt is a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry (MRSC) and also holds a number of qualifications:

Matteo Cossutta
CarbonQuota is proud to introduce its carbon data specialist, Matteo Cossutta.
Matteo is responsible for creating and analysing the carbon footprints of the various companies and products that we work with, as well as creating full life cycle assessments. Matteo is also responsible for ensuring that the CarbonQuota methodology is up-to-date and as accurate as possible.
Matteo has a BSc in Industrial Engineering, a MSc in Sustainable Energies, and a PHD in the LCA of Energy Storage and Nanomaterials.
In his spare time, Matteo can often be found listening to music, his second passion, and you may occasionally find him playing his own guitar.
Dave Morgan
CarbonQuota is proud to introduce its Technical Manager, Dave Morgan.
Dave joined CarbonQuota in February of 2023 and is responsible for the development of our technology and ensuring that it meets our high standards. He also acts as the liaison between our development team and the rest of CarbonQuota.
Dave has always had an interest in computing and has found over his career that he also enjoys the business side of things too, which has led him into this position.
Dave holds a BSc in Business Computing from the University of Roehampton.
Outside of work, Dave is a member of an escape room team, having successfully escaped more than 140 escape rooms in the UK and Europe. When not breaking out of these rooms, he can be found playing board games or enjoying music from the 90s.
Steve Cumley
CarbonQuota is proud to introduce its Customer Manager, Steve Cumley.
Steve is focused on the development of sustainable relationships with all of our clients and serves as the liaison between those clients and the rest of the CarbonQuota team.
Before joining CarbonQuota, Steve spent 35 years working within print manufacturing and marketing service sectors, spending time with a number of blue-chip clients, including Coca-Cola, Nestle, Carlsberg, BMW, Renault, Sanofi, Pfizer and many more.
Steve is passionate about the environment and has experience in Scope 1, 2 and 3 carbon auditing, FSC/PEFC materials and ISO 14001 auditing.
Outside of work, Steve can often be found playing squash and golf (badly!), spending time with his family and friends and his pet dog as well as attending various music concerts and festivals.
Mylène Alegria
CarbonQuota is proud to introduce its technical manager, Mylène Alegria.
Mylène is responsible for ensuring that all of the documents and carbon footprints are suitable for CarbonQuota’s clients, are technically accurate and follow the latest scientific methodology.
She is also responsible for expanding the depth of our carbon footprints to ensure that we are as precise and granular in our attention to detail as possible.
Her interest in the environmental sector stems from her conviction that as a species with intellectual capabilities, we have a duty not only to preserve nature and wildlife for their irreplaceable value, but also the only planet we know for sure is habitable – our survival depends on it.
Mylène has a BA in Painting, a BA (Hons) in Event Management with Tourism and an MSc in Environment and Sustainability.
When not helping us to research the carbon footprint of a project, Mylène can often be found doing something creative, whether it is drawing, designing, or playing the piano.
Charlotte Jones
Charlotte is responsible for ensuring that the needs of our clients are met, and is committed to their success. Her responsibilities also include helping our clients move towards Net-Zero using CarbonQuota’s robust solutions accelerate their journey.
Charlotte is passionate about nature and the environment, and is dedicated to Net-Zero initiatives.
In her previous role as a sustainability consultant, Charlotte was a technical consultant in the built environment – focusing on preparing solutions for her clients to adapt to climate change.
Charlotte holds a MA (Hons) 2:1 Joint Honours Degree in Geography and Sustainable Development.
In her spare time, Charlotte enjoys visiting galleries and museums around London and enjoys visiting the pub at weekends.
Maddy Roetgerink

Maddy is responsible for delivering projects to clients and serves as liaison between those clients and the science team. Maddy has experience in sustainable development and holds a Distinction MSc in China & Globalisation, focussing on authoritarian environmentalism, and a first-class BA (Hons) in International Studies & East Asian Affairs.

Karim Swift
CarbonQuota are proud to introduce, Technical Executive, Karim Swift
Karim is part of our carbon science and customer success team. His role involves calculating and analyzing our clients’ carbon footprints, designing data collection surveys, and onboarding new customers. He primarily focus on Operational Carbon Footprints and Scope 3 analysis, ensuring accurate and comprehensive carbon assessments.
Growing up in a tropical country – Malaysia – he has always felt a deep connection to the natural world. His passion for environmental protection led me to a career where I can help organizations adopt more sustainable practices and mitigate their environmental impact.
Before joining CarbonQuota, he worked as a Sustainability Analyst for a design and engineering SaaS company. There, he designed and implemented internal sustainability initiatives, identified sustainability features for product roadmaps, and contributed to work winning and marketing materials. He holds a First Class Honours BSc in Biological Sciences: Biodiversity & Conservation and an MSc in Environment & Development with Merit.
Outside of work, I have a keen interest in freshwater tropical fish and plants, herpetology, music, football, and cooking.
